54th Design Automation Conference (DAC) Names Industry Liaison CommitteeThe Design Automation Conference (DAC), the premier conference devoted to the design and automation of electronic systems, has named the members of the 54th DAC Industry Liaison Committee (ILC). These volunteers serve as liaisons to various constituencies at DAC by proactively communicating and soliciting input to help drive an event that benefits all exhibitors and attendees. The ILC representatives work closely with the DAC Executive Committee to ensure a positive and successful experience for both the exhibitors and attendees. The 54th DAC will be held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas from June 18 - 22, 2017. "DAC is the melting pot for innovative thinkers to express and vet their ideas with one another," said Rob van Blommestein, Industry Liaison Committee Chair. "The ILC has an important role in helping to effectively bridge the communication channel between developers and users to help drive industry innovation and growth. The committee this year boasts some very creative talent that will ultimately prove valuable to all parties affiliated with DAC." The 2017 ILC committee met for the first time November 1, 2016 at the Synopsys (News - Alert) headquarters in Mountain View, CA. The meeting set in motion new initiatives that will help to increase value and exposure for exhibitors as well as improve interaction between exhibitors and attendees at DAC 2017. A top priority of the meeting was to discuss how logistics can be better managed and implemented to allow exhibitors to focus on adding more value to attendees in their booths.
