STX Entertainment Launches Production Initiative to Co-Produce Short-Form Content


BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- STX Entertainment ("STX"), a global media company, announced that it has entered into an agreement with The Young Astronauts ("TYA"), a Toronto-based interactive media production company, to co-produce and co-develop original short-form content for music and celebrity talent and brands. The initiative will expand STX's content production capabilities across digital, social and mobile platforms, providing an even more comprehensive offering to artists and brands who want to engage with fans across channels and geographies. TYA creates a wide range of short-form, digital and video content for stars, online influencers and corporations, including Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Drake, Republic Records, Live Nation, Red Bull and Nike, among dozens of others.

TYA co-founders Nev Todorovic and Tyler Savery will work with STX and provide its full range of resources and production capabilities to enable some of the world's biggest artists, celebrities and brands to create talent-driven content across multiple platforms and formats, including apps, websites, streaming platforms and social media. With STX's rapidly growing global storytelling and distribution platform across film, television and digital operations, clients will be able to tap into the full range of media to expand the reach of their content and enhance how it connects with audiences.
