Motivis Learning Launches Unity 2.0Motivis Learning, the Learning Relationship Management System specifically designed for Competency-Based Education, today released the latest version of their free campus social community tool, Unity. Built on Salesforce Communities, Unity 2.0 is an online social networking tool and software platform that allows K-12, higher education and continued education institutions to create a private, branded community for their students, educators and administrators to connect and collaborate. Unity 2.0 is available for free on Salesforce AppExchange today. Designed with the student's perspective in mind, this latest release of Unity adds an assortment of enhancements and improvements to an application that already allows users to join groups, manage events, access resources, share news and communicate via a familiar chat feed. The tool's completely redesigned user interface looks and operates more like a social media platform than any other educational tool available today. "We originally created Unity in 2014 in partnership with the Higher Educational Advisory Council to give back to the higher ed community," said Brian Peddle, Founder and CEO of Motivis Learning. "In keeping with that mission, we have redesigned Unity from the student's perspective so that institutions can deliver an online community thatmatches that of an on-campus community. Unity helps students stay connected to their institution from the minute they apply all the way through to becoming an alumni - something that was originally thought to be unobtainable online." In addition to Unity 2.0's thoughtful UI, the release also includes a list of features that were suggested by more than 100 institutions currently using Unity. The updated tool:
Institutions can download Unity 2.0 and install themselves, or they can consult Motivis Learning's pro services team for implementation and configuration. Visit the Motivis Learning profile on Salesforce AppExchange for more information.
