Meggitt Training Systems to Introduce Revolutionary FATS® 100LE Law Enforcement Use-of-Force Training Simulator at IACP 2016

Meggitt Training Systems (booth #2623) will debut a new use-of-force simulation solution at the 2016 International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference and exposition to be held in the San Diego Convention Center on October 15-18, 2016. The top-of-the-line FATS® 100LE and recently introduced entry-level FATS L7 LITE simulators offer law enforcement departments a clear choice based on their training requirements and budget.

The FATS 100LE leverages state-of-the-art technology recently developed for and delivered to the US Army and Marine Corps, but customized for law enforcement training. LE-specific features include the introduction of three-dimensional marksmanship training, wireless tablet control with auto-coaching, and an intuitive unified interface across all training modes - for ease-of-use and reduction in training requirements. Consistent with its premium positioning, the FATS 100LE also features multiple screen capability, enhanced visuals, multiple weapons per trainee, and wireless BlueFire® weapons. On-site installation and training are provided by Meggitt personnel to ensure the industry's most sophisticated use of force simulator is ready for optimal use.

The FATS L7 LITE's flexibility, advanced features and straightforward operation allow instructors to easily adapt courseware to meet the needs of the department. The system has the same capabilities as the innovative FATS L7 simulator that revolutionized the law enforcement training community. However, its attractive price-point will appeal to departments looking for an entry-level weapon training system that remains scalable for future growth - to include the option of adding BlueFire weapons and accessories. The FATS L7 LITE is easily modified to meet unique requirements, including the importation of customer-specific targets and terrains and user-authored video scenarios.

"Recent events further reinforce the challenging and difficult job performed by law enforcement officers," said Meggitt Training Systems President Jeff Murphy. "Our goal is to provide them the best use-of-force simulators in the world. The FATS 100LE and FATS L7 LITE continue our storied legacy as the inventors of use-of-force simulation training."

Meggitt Training Systems representatives will be available discuss the FATS 100LE, FATS L7 LITE, as well as other simulation and live-fire solutions at IACP 2016 in booth #2623.
