Via Names Boris Teksler as Special Advisor to the BoardVia Licensing Corporation announced it has named Boris Teksler as Special Advisor to the board of directors at Via, to build upon and grow the company's leadership in IP licensing programs that promote and enable global innovation for the wireless industry, including its Long Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) patent pool. He was most recently CEO of Unwired Planet, an IP company focused on the mobile industry. Teksler, who currently serves as a board member and director of Great Elm Capital Group, previously served as president of the technology business group at Technicolor. In his prior position as head of Apple's (News - Alert) patent licensing and strategy divison, he played a key role in driving the company's IP initiatives.
