SHARE to Host Top Names in Enterprise IT at Atlanta Event


Hundreds of enterprise IT professionals will gather to learn, network and discover the latest enterprise IT developments during SHARE® Atlanta, July 31-August 5 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will feature more than 500 unique educational sessions that map to the most critical trends in enterprise computing.

The diverse array of educational programming set for SHARE Atlanta includes new 2016 tracks New and Innovative Workloads for z Systems and DevOps in the Enterprise as well as skills-oriented, add-on offerings SHARE Academy and New to z Systems. Individuals who attend will have the chance to learn about the critical role the mainframe holds in the enterprise, how business applications interface with the mainframe, and more. Attendees can navigate the 500+ sessions of SHARE Atlanta using one of three custom roadmaps designed to make building a schedule easier.



As a new member of the Open Mainframe Project (OMP), SHARE will offer several opportunities for attendees to learn more about the project and how to get involved during SHARE Atlanta. The project will also have a booth in the SHARE Technology Exchange Expo. In addition to representatives from OMP, the expo will feature over 50 exhibitors, including IBM, CA (News - Alert) Technologies, EMC Corporation, GTSG, BMC Software, Oracle Corporation and more. Shane Snow, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Contently, will kick off the week with a keynote presentation on Monday, Aug. 1, discussing how storytelling is an integral facet to successful business practices. On Tuesday, individuals can learn about the critical role z/OS and DevOps play in IT environments today during a second keynote from Randy Frerking, Enterprise Technical Expert, and Richard Jackson, Senior Technical Expert, of Walmart, a SHARE Member Company.
