WASHINGTON, July 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Halo Privacy of Chicago, Seattle and Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Turner to its Board.  Mr. Turner currently serves as the Chief Security Officer at Vantiv, a leading payment processor and merchant acquirer, where he is responsible for developing and executing Vantiv's physical and information security programs globally.  Prior to Vantiv, Mr. Turner developed and led Visa's global Cyber Security organization, protecting one of the largest brands in the world with over $7 trillion in payment card transactions processed annually.

In addition to providing cyber support to the U.S. Intelligence community, Office of the President and other high-profile organizations, he has previously served in other roles including, Director of Cyber Intelligence at Microsoft and Director of Services EMEA at IOActive.  In 2012, Mr. Turner was appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe to serve on the Virginia Cyber Commission, where he led the subcommittee on Cyber Education and Workforce Development.

Mr. Turner graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in Economics. He holds various security related certifications, and serves on a number of advisory and company boards.

L. Kevin Kelly, Halo Privacy CEO, sad, "Andrew is one of the first people we thought of for our board.  His dual experience in the private and public sector make him a natural match for us.  He is helping us develop the commercial sector market for the tradecraft and tools that we have been using to support DoD and DoJ for years.  Halo's philosophy includes the idea that private citizens and commercial companies should have access to the same level of privacy as government entities.  Having Andrew help us navigate the two worlds has already been a tremendous benefit.  I have to say, Andrew really is the 'perfect fit' for our board and I'm thrilled he's agreed to join us."

Mr. Turner added, "Halo is in exactly the right space to capitalize on the democratization of strong crypto.  Building out Halo's core Corona Platform in such a way that it can securely host business-friendly communications and workflow tools all the way up to Halo's government-grade One-Time Pad VPN makes it the most agile secure server platform in the market.  The one-size-fits-all solutions are no longer competitive, so having a platform that is customized to each client and scaled to each use case is much more responsive to real-world requirements.  I see a bright future for Halo and I'm happy to accept their offer to join the board."
