op5 Recognized in Gartner Research

TULSA, Okla., July 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- (op5) - Gartner, Inc., the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, has listed op5 amongst an impressive collection of IT monitoring leaders in three individual reports since January 2016. These are not the first mentions of op5 by Gartner. – We believe the Gartner mentions clearly solidifies our position as a leader, innovator and major competitor in the IT monitoring marketplace.

Gartner Reports

On January 21st, Gartner published the report titled "Modernize ECA With IT Infrastructure Monitoring Tools" included op5 as a Sample Vendor in its list of vendors in the IT monitoring market. The second report, "Three Steps to Successful Performance Monitoring in the Midmarket" was published on February 26, mentioning op5 as a Sample Vendor again within its list of IT monitoring vendors.

Most recently, on May 9th, 2016, Gartner recognized as a Representative Vendor op5 for its Monitor solution on a short list of vendors to complement the report titled "Market Guide for IT Infrastructure Monitoring". We believe including op5 on these lists clearly confirmed its alignment with their overall recommendations highlighted in the guide as a bulleted list of three - which were detailed and to the point.

Gartner recommends in the Market Guide "shortlist vendors that have modern user interfaces and allow for easier integration with new environments while reducing tool management overhead." This guide also recommends to "invest in ITIM tools that include event correlation and analysis (ECA) capabilities but  plan for IT operations analytics (ITOA) in the near future" and "prioritize ITIM tools offering higher interoperability with existing IT operations management (ITOM)"

The introduction of the guide states that "I&O leaders should use this guide to better understand market fundamentals for holistic IT infrastructure monitoring tools" and that "many organizations are wasting I&O budget on disparate monitoring tools for servers, network and storage systems, as architectures become more modular and cloud-centric." We feel Gartner's reporting has clarified without qestion that op5 Monitor meets all the specified criteria for this industry.

As previously noted, in addition to the impressive number of references made to op5 in the 2016 series of reports, during 2015, between June and October 27, op5 has been mentioned by name in six other reports published by Gartner.

  • IT Operations Leaders Must Use a Structured Approach When Deploying Server Monitoring Tool 1
  • How I&O Leaders Can Determine Whether SaaS-Based Infrastructure Monitoring Is Right for the Organization 2
  • Hype Cycle for IT in GCC, 2015 3
  • IT Market Clock for IT Infrastructure Availability and Performance Management, 2015 4
  • Assess the IT Infrastructure Monitoring Tools That Are a Must-Have for Your Environment 5
  • IT Infrastructure Monitoring Tools: Best of Breed or a Suite? 6

We believe it is indisputable that Gartner is a powerful validation channel for those who are included in their bandwidth of research. So in turn it is natural for the industry to see listed and named vendors as mature and accomplished organizations. Compared to many of the other listed organizations, we feel Gartner's positive inclusion of op5 over this very short period of time is a staggering accomplishment for this quickly growing company. We believe this confirmation sets op5 apart from the competition.

Considering op5's recent entrance into a new and incredibly competitive frontier in the United States, we think this listing makes a unique statement of success and stability to industry decision makers. The company opened their US office only one year ago - in the summer of 2015 - proclaiming a confident entrance into a new arena where op5 now firmly stands as a global force on the monitoring technology landscape.

The data produced by Gartner's research targets a specific audience in the technology industry including chief information officers, senior IT leaders, marketing executives, and those making high level purchasing decisions. Large corporations, government agencies, technology companies and specific individuals in the investment world are a part of their list of clientele. We believe exposure through this collection of reports, guides and recommendations has planted op5 and their powerful IT monitoring solutions firmly in the minds of those looking for the best in the marketplace.
