University of West Georgia Dining Services Selects Eatec® by Agilysys to Streamline Inventory and Procurement

Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Campus Dining at the University of West Georgia has selected the Eatec® inventory and procurement system to streamline foodservice operations in 14 locations, including residential dining halls, campus restaurants and convenience stores. It will also use Eatec to support campus catering and concessions.

"After an extensive search for a new inventory and procurement system, we determined that Eatec has all the features and functionality we require to handle our diverse dining scenarios," said John Lyons, executive director of campus dining at the University of West Georgia. "The system interfaces to U.S. Foods, our largest vendor, as well as to our accounting and financial software system. Agilysys is also building an interface to our point-of-sale system so that we can import sales data for accurate inventory counts. Eatec will modernize our entire foodservice operation by streamlining the purchasing process, controlling inventory and managing overall costs."

Eatec is a full-featured inventory, procurement and production system designed specifically for the hospitality and foodservice industries. Along with its core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions, the software also offers modules for catering, cycle planning, retail management, nutrition and allergens. The modular structure allows customers to contruct the exact set of features they need - whether it is an enterprise-wide solution for multiple sites or a single-site system for multiple functions. Eatec is available as an on-premise solution or through a subscription service.

"An automated inventory and procurement system is an essential tool for higher education dining operations, where margins are tight and mistakes are costly," said Jim Walker, senior vice president of global revenue at Agilysys. "Eatec, with its customizable modular structure, is ideal for colleges and universities of all sizes. It will enable the dining services team at University of West Georgia to lower food and labor costs, track nutritional information and monitor sustainability performance. We are excited about our partnership with the university and our continued expansion into the higher education foodservice market."

Campus Dining at the University of West Georgia is committed to quality food, excellent service and social responsibility. Daily menus feature a variety of seasonal items, ethnic specialties and healthy food options served in state-of-the art dining halls. The dining services team also oversees several retail dining operations and offers full-service catering for campus functions and private events.
