NXG International Partners with CardX to Bring Merchants and Consumers Fully Compliant Service Fee Solutions in Canada

VANCOUVER, British Columbia and CHICAGO, May 5, 2016 /CNW/ -- NXG International, a provider of payment services and solutions in Canada, today announced a strategic partnership with CardX, a technology provider of service fee solutions (patent-pending). NXG International will bring CardX's innovative solution, Intelligent Rate, to qualifying merchants in Canada. Intelligent Rate gives eligible businesses and institutions the capability to accept credit card payments paying no cost for the transactions. This is a "revenue-neutral" card acceptance solution which also allows consumers to choose the fee they pay.

New rules from the card brands enable merchants in eligible categories (Utilities, Property Management, Universities, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Childcare, Fines, and Taxes) to use the service fee model to process card-not-present transactions at 0% cost.

Using CardX's Intelligent Rate solution, NXG Interational are able to provide its Canadian merchants a dynamic service fee solution that fully complies with the new rules. The technology determines card type in real time and prices the service fee in proportion to the transaction cost, improving affordability for cardholders.
