The district was forced to pay $8,500 to attackers in a crypto-ransomware attack. In this presentation, cyber risk expert Torsten George will explain the top cyber threats facing K-12 institutions and districts, as well as the challenges associated with addressing them. This session will also provide best practices for transforming cyber security risk management from a reactive to a pro-active discipline that can enable educational institutions to get ahead of nearly 95% of all threats.
