TESSCO One Event Showcases New Fastback Innovations for Lower Cost Urban Connectivity Anywhere

Fastback, along with North America distribution partner, TESSCO Technologies (NASDAQ:TESS) is featuring the new Fastback product lineup of groundbreaking wireless backhaul products at the TESSCO One Innovation Showcase, February 22-24, Phoenix, AZ. Driven by input from 1000's of customer engagements to address the real-world challenges of network densification, the all new product families of 5 GHz, 60 GHz, and 70-80 GHz backhaul radios extend the reach of high performance Carrier Ethernet and are universally easy and economical to install, deploy, maintain and scale.

"Fastback Networks innovations are unleashing a new versatility for mobile networks, enabling practical high-capacity connectivity in a broader range of locations and conditions," said Robert Barnhill, CEO, TESSCO. "Teaming with Fastback, we offer our customers new levels of both performance and simplicity for mobile backhaul and enterprise connectivity."

"Rich new opportunities exist for easy to use and deploy wireless backhaul solutions that offer fiber performance to fill-in and complement where fiber backhaul cannot reach or is not viable," said Kevin Duffy, CEO & Co-founder, Fastback Networks. "Compact, high performance, feature rich and simple to use devices are here, ushering in plug and play backhaul and broadband connectivity."

Both the new 5 GHz and Liberator millimeter wave products are packed with carrier grade innovations that deliver high performance as well as a multitude of practical features that solve deployment challenges. The Liberator 60 GHz and 70-80 GHz dual port radios offer more functionality and flexibility, a compact form-factor for city deployment, more channels, longer range, a robust weather tolerant radome, and SyncE and 1588v2 timing. The dual ports provide the flexibility of either GigE Copper or fiber SFP, allowing daisy-chaining of a copper or fiber hop.

The Fastback 5 GHz IBR 1300 innovations include world-first breakthroughs in FDD transmission to ese set-up and mitigate interference, on-board power to simplify installation, and a compact design that guarantees deployment in any location or environment. At 900 Mbps and a mere 8x10x4 inches, the IBR-1300 is the fastest, smallest and most versatile radio available. Beamforming technology on both transmit and receive channels is another industry first of the IBR-1300, which improves reliability for high density, large scale deployments. And the IBR-1300 is the only radio in its class that can operate using integrated AC power when no other source is available, ideal for small cell deployments in city centers and urban locations.

The new product line is showcased at TESSCO One at Fastback booth #403. Fastback's 3D Ray Tracing NLOS network planning tool, IBR Predict, will also be demonstrated in the TESSCO Commercial Experience Center. And Fastback's session, The Essentials of Wireless Backhaul in a Fiber First World, will address opportunities going forward for high performance wireless backhaul solutions.
