AppViewX Announces Integration with A10 Networks to Support Thunder ADCs

AppViewX, the most advanced infrastructure automation and orchestration platform, today announced its integration with A10 Networks' Thunder Application Delivery Controller (ADC (News - Alert)) solutions to provide A10 customers with the ability to monitor and manage application services on a real-time basis. AppViewX's ADC+, the automation and orchestration platform for ADCs, has integrations into ACOS 2.7.1, 2.7.2 and 4.0.1, supporting Thunder ADC appliances and vADCs to effectively manage applications hosted across ADCs on diverse infrastructures.

AppViewX ADC+ provides app-centric visibility and centralized management of A10 ADC environment in a single console, thus streamlining operations and lowering IT costs. With its granular and secure role based access control, it enables self-servicing across organization, from engineering, application team, to operations teams. In addition to monitoring application services on the Thunder ADCs, AppViewX will also allow A10 customers to manage the SSL Certificates on the Thunder ADCs, empowering users to secure application data through timely expiry alerts and automated renewal and provisioning of certs.

As an orchestration engine, AppViewX integrates with multiple tools across the IT infrastructure through vendors' northbound APIs. The AppViewX Application Provisioning System (APS) provides a template based configuration management utility that integrates with DNS/IPAM systems to self-serve application deployment on Thunder ADCs. The work order-based approval system in the product is integrated with external ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy) providing change management automation.

The solution combines the advantages of A10 Networks (News - Alert) and AppViewX for customers to deploy, automate, monitor and manage applications on Thunder ADCs to realize Agile IT faster. It helps organizations gain app-centric network visiblity, have a single pane of glass view for managing and monitoring their ADC infrastructure across data centers. The ADC+ solution provides full integration into the A10 Networks Thunder ADC line of application delivery controllers - supporting vADCs and hardware appliances. With this, A10 customers can define workflows and templates, automate provision changes, troubleshoot issues, roll back configurations, self-serve authorized tasks, automate DNS record creations & implementations and secure SSL certificates.

"Today's enterprise users expect centralized device management and reporting," says Gunter Reiss, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at A10 Networks. "AppViewX delivers a robust platform for this. We are excited to team up with AppViewX and provide A10 customers with a seamless, large scale and fully automated management."

Benefits of AppViewX and A10's integration:

  • Increased visibility across application delivery infrastructure
  • Increased operational efficiency and improved IT agility
  • Automated application provisioning
  • Reduced manual configuration errors across the network by over 70%
  • Complete lifecycle automation and management of SSL certificates
