Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Announces Leadership Team AppointmentsThe Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) today announced four appointments to its governing board and executive team. The appointees will work with long-standing MMRF leadership team, who have played a critical role in advancing the foundation's end-to-end precision medicine model. Paul Giusti has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the MMRF. Mr. Giusti, who most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Structural Graphics, an integrated marketing firm, has more than 30 years of experience as a business leader and entrepreneur. He has worked closely with the MMRF on a number of initiatives, most recently chairing the foundation's $100 million capital campaign. Rob Miani has been named Chief Financial Officer of the MMRF. Mr. Miani most recently served as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller of Aptuit, LLC, a global clinical contract research organization where he focused on applying business models to scientific initiatives. He brings to the MMRF more than 20 years of operating experience in both the private and public sectors. Michael Mortimer, Executive Partner and Founder of Global Healthcare Opportunities, LLP, a healthcare investment advisory firm, has been named Chairman of the MMRF Board of Directors. Mr. Mortimer has more than 25 years of global operating and management experience, most recently at Quintiles, where he served as Executive Vice President. Lori Marcus, founder of Courtyard Connections, a consumer goods advisory firm, has been named Vice Chairwoman of the MMRF Board of Directors. Ms. Marcus has more than 30 years of marketing expertise, formerly serving as Chief Global Brand and Product Officer at Keurig Green Mountain and Senior Vice President of Marketing Activation for PepsiCo. MMRF co-founder Kathy Giusti, a preeminent leader in cancer research, will continue to serve as a member of the MMRF Board of Directors and as an active spokesperson and relationship steward for the foundation. Ms. Giusti will also continue her work as a proponent of patient-centered research and open-access data sharing.
