New Ethernet-Based 24 Channel Digital I/O Device from Measurement Computing


Measurement Computing Corporation announces the release of the Ethernet-based E-DIO24 digital I/O device. The E-DIO24 features 24 digital I/O and one counter input and is ideal for network-based applications and remote monitoring and control. The 24 high-drive channels are also capable of driving relays.

The 24 digital I/O lines are configured as three 8-bit ports. Each bit is individually configurable for input or output. Data can be transferred at rates up to 5 kS/s when the device and host are connected by Ethernet to the same local network.

The E-DIO24 adds to MCC's wide range of low-cost Ethernet and USB-based DAQ products.

A board-only version of the device (E-DIO24-OEM) uses header connectors instead of screw terminals and is ideal for embedded and OEM applications.

The E-DIO24 is priced at only $289, while the E-DIO24-OEM is available for $239.

Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows software options for the E-DIO24 inclues DAQami and TracerDAQ® to display and log data, along with comprehensive support for C®, C++®, C#®, Visual Basic®, and Visual Basic .NET™. Support is also included for DASYLab® and NI LabVIEW™. UL for Android (News - Alert)™ provides programming support for Android devices.
