Leading Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) Skyhigh Networks Announces Comprehensive Support for Microsoft Office 365 Graph

Skyhigh Networks, the Cloud Security and Enablement Company, today announced comprehensive support for the recently announced Microsoft Graph, enabling businesses to seamlessly extend security, compliance and governance controls from data across the entire Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 offering. Microsoft Graph opens multiple APIs from the Microsoft intelligent cloud through a single REST API endpoint. With this integration, Skyhigh for Office 365 now provides coverage for productivity applications with data from the API, including users, groups, organizational contacts, files, folders, mail, insights and relationships.

"Skyhigh Networks has demonstrated the ability and available resources needed to build world-class security, compliance and governance capabilities that work with Office 365," said Rob Lefferts, General Manager, Extensibility at Microsoft. "Using Skyhigh along with Microsoft Graph, companies can leverage the massive productivity gains enabled by Office 365 while meeting their various compliance, threat protection and data security requirements."

Skyhigh integration with Microsoft Graph delivers the following capabilities:

  • Group-based Cloud DLP Policies: Skyhigh applies data loss prevention (DLP) policies to Active Directory Groups and Office 365 Groups. Skyhigh's comprehensive DLP capabilities enforce custom or out-of-the-box policies and supports several remediation actions (e.g. block, quarantine, encrypt).
  • Real-Time and On-Demand Scanning: Skyhigh utilized Microsoft Graph for scanning data-at-rest to identify policy violations in response to internal policies and external regulations. The API provides flexibility to scan data for specific users or specific folders.
  • Integration with On-premises DLP Solutions: Skyhigh's integration with Microsoft Graph API enables companies to enforce their on-premises DLP policies to all data in Office 365. Skyhigh also leverages Microsoft Graph to broker remediation actions in response to a policy violation.
  • Quarantine Management: When users upload data that violates a policy, Skyhigh quarantines the file. Using Microsoft Graph, Skyhigh moves the file to an administrator account and replaces the original file with a tombstone. Administrators may also review the quarantined files then confirm the action or perform a rollback.

  • "Microsoft's signature Office products are as popular as ever especially now since they are available anytime, anywhere via Office 365," said Kamal Shah, senior vice president of Products & Marketing at Skyhigh Networks. "We're delighted to be amongst the select group of partners to receive early access to Microsoft Graph, as we enable our joint customers to embrace the cloud without compromising on security."

In addition to comprehensive Office 365 support, Skyhigh Cloud Access Security Broker delivers a centralized security, compliance and data governance platform to enforce policies for over 16,000+ cloud services including Box, Dropbox (News - Alert), Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jive, Workday and others.
