Bonitasoft Named InfoWorld's Bossie Award Winner for Best Open Source Application for Fourth Consecutive Year

Bonitasoft, the fastest-growing provider of business process management (BPM) solutions, today announced that it has been named amongst the winners of the 2015 InfoWorld Bossie Awards for the best open source application, for the fourth consecutive year.

Selected by InfoWorld's Test Center editors and reviewers, Bossie awards identify the most promising and cost-effective products available to IT organizations while acknowledging that increasingly, those products - from application development tools to platforms and infrastructure software to CRM and ERP applications - are open source.

In their review, editors cited the impacts Bonitasoft has made to the open source community since its founding in 2009 and continues to make with the release of its new platform, Bonita BPM 7.

"Having led the charge since 2009, Bonitasoft continues to raise the bar," InfoWorld stated in a Sept. 16 slideshow naming the Bossie award winners. "The new Bonita BPM 7 release impresses with innovative features that simplify code generation and shorten development cycles for BPM app creation."

"Weare proud to have Bonita BPM 7 recognized as one of the best open source applications by such a well-respected organization as InfoWorld," said Miguel Valdes Faura, CEO and co-founder of Bonitasoft. "Our open source community has offered great support and great insights, helping us to build better BPM-based application platforms to create business applications that adapt to businesses in real time."

The InfoWorld slideshow goes on to highlight Bonita BPM 7's features and benefits.

"Most important to the new version, though, is better abstraction of underlying core business logic from UI and data components, allowing UIs and processes to be developed independently. This new MVC approach reduces downtime for live upgrades (no more recompilation!) and eases application maintenance," the slideshow relates.

"Bonita contains a winning set of connectors to a broad range of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, databases) as well as to Web services. Complementing its process weaving tools, a new form designer (built on AngularJS/Bootstrap) goes a long way toward improving UI creation for the Web-centric and mobile workforce," the slideshow states.
