Designers of Things will take place December 2-3, 2015 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA.

Returning for its second year, Designers of Things is a conference dedicated to bringing the latest in 3D printing, IoT and wearables to today's designers, developers and innovators. Attendees will be given the opportunity to demo the hottest IoT technologies and connect with the community of great minds responsible for developing them. This year's event will also run alongside BIOMEDevice San Jose, an event focused on the emerging trends in medical device design. BIOMEDevice will be showcasing more than 300 suppliers and innovators in medtech, including the latest in medical device design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing and assembly. Jay Radcliffe, Senior Security Consulant and researcher for Rapid7, brings with him more than 15 years of experience within the information security space. He holds a Master's degree in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute as well as a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Pre-Law from Wayne State University.



In his keynote, Does More Connected Mean Less Secure? A Deep Dive into the Internet-of-Things for Medical Devices, Radcliffe will reveal the latest vulnerabilities of today's connected medical devices. His talk will explore how the Internet of Things is placing new demands on medical device developers to build security into the design and development process. Radcliffe will provide a deeper understanding of how and why the IoT healthcare landscape is changing, the risks associated with connected devices, people and networks, and how to build connected medical solutions in a responsible way.
