Immersion Grows Adoption of TouchSense® Haptic Technology in Smartphones in China


Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ:IMMR), the leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, today announced that major Chinese mobile manufacturer, Gionee Communications Equipment Co. Ltd., launched its flagship E8 smartphone with Immersion's TouchSense® haptic technology.

E8 uses Immersion's TS3000™ software in premium device applications, such as themes and keyboard, adding heightened realism, richer experiences, and more effective interactive design to its user interface. Gionee Communications Equipment Co. Ltd. is Immersion's fourth direct mobile licensee in the region.
