The Advanced Imaging Society Announces Technology & New Product Awards Nominees


The Advanced Imaging Society announced today that Barco, Technicolor, Nokia (News - Alert), and Sony Computer Electronics of America are included in this year's list of nominees for the 6th annual Technology & New Product Awards, scheduled for September 30th, 2015, 12:30-2pm at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood.

Technology & New Product Awards winners have previously included: DreamWorks Animation (DWA), IMAX, Regal Cinemas and many other leading technology and product developers in this industry.

Outstanding technologies and new products will be awarded the Lumiere Award, and the New Product Award, respectively. The Lumiere award, which has been awarded to such luminaries as: Ang Lee, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron, Jeffrey Katzenberg and others, is the highest honor bestowed by the membership of the Society. Winners from these nominees will be chosen by a blue ribbon panel of technology and advanced imaging experts.

"These awards are our industry's opportunity to shine the spotlight on game-changing and disruptive technologies which are changing the entertainment industry's content creation landscape, icluding High Dynamic Range, VR, UHD, 3D, and more," stated Jim Chabin, President of the Society.
