Certified Fresh: VUBIQUITY and Rotten Tomatoes™ Come Together to Feature Critically Acclaimed Films to Subscribers On Demand This Summer

VUBIQUITY, a leading global provider of premium content technology services, today announced a promotional partnership with Rotten Tomatoes™, the most trusted source of movie and television quality measurement, to launch a program that will allow VUBIQUITY affiliates to offer a curated collection of critically acclaimed films. The films are from within the affiliates' library, and have all earned the Certified Fresh designation, providing consumers with a one stop solution to great entertainment. To be considered Certified Fresh, a film must have a Tomatometer score of 75% or higher with a minimum of 80 Critic reviews for wide-releases and 40 for limited-releases, including 5 reviews from Top Critics.

Beginning July 1st and running through the summer, On Demand users will have access to a special "Rotten Tomatoes" folder within the On Demand section of the user interface. The folder will contain a wide selection of highly reviewed films across all genres. The initiative is being supported with television spots and promotional Barkers. VUBIQUITY will initially launch the offering with a select group of top cable and telco affiliates in major markets, including Verizon (News - Alert) FiOS TV and Mediacom, and will reach a total of approximately 10 million households.

"We're excited to test this initiative with Rotten Tomatoes™, the go to website for film and TV ratings and reviews," said Michele Edelman (News - Alert), EVP Marketing and Communications of VUBIQUITY. "Bringing top rated films to the Video On Demand platform that have earned op honors on RottenTomatoes.com adds significant value to both consumers and their service providers. If successful, we look forward to a nationwide rollout this fall."

"We're delighted about the opportunity to partner with VUBIQUITY and bring the best reviewed films to Video On Demand," said Stephanie Bohn, Head of Marketing & Partnerships of Rotten Tomatoes™. "Every film in the Rotten Tomatoes folder will bear the Certified Fresh seal so consumers can rent with confidence."

Rotten Tomatoes™ Senior Movies Editor and co-host of the Rotten Tomatoes podcast, Grae Drake, will be featured as part of the branded entertainment program. Drake is well-known in Hollywood circles for eliciting the most entertaining and unexpected responses during her uniquely styled celebrity interviews.

VUBIQUITY's "Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes" collection will present films including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (Warner Bros.), Ex Machina (A24), It Follows (Starz), Magic Mike (Warner Bros.), Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Paramount Pictures) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Paramount Pictures (News - Alert)).

About Rotten Tomatoes

Rotten Tomatoes is the most trusted measurement of quality for movies and television programming. As the web's leading aggregator of reviews from top entertainment critics, Rotten Tomatoes offers the most comprehensive guide to what's Fresh. The world famous Tomatometer™ rating represents the percentage of professional critic reviews that are positive for a given film or television show. Rotten Tomatoes designates the best-reviewed films and TV shows as Certified Fresh - with Tomatometer ratings of 75% and higher, and reviewed by a minimum number of critics (80 for wide-release movies, 40 for limited-release movies, 20 for TV shows), including 5 reviews from Top Critics. The Tomatometer is viewed by hundreds of millions of movie and TV consumers every week across a partner network that includes iTunes, Google (News - Alert), Comcast, DirecTV and Vudu. The Rotten Tomatoes podcast, co-hosted by Matt Atchity and Grae Drake, is available weekly on RottenTomatoes.com, iTunes, Soundcloud and Stitcher.
