Hillstone Networks Positioned in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls for Second Straight Year

Hillstone Networks, a leading provider of enterprise network firewall solutions, today announced it has been named to Gartner's (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls* for the second consecutive year. The annual report evaluates companies according to "Completeness of Vision" and "Ability to Execute," based on product reviews, customer experience, market understanding, and innovation, among others.

"We believe to be in the magic quadrant for a second straight year is validation of our efforts to bring behavioral intelligence to network security," said Tim Liu, CTO and Co-Founder, Hillstone Networks. "We will continue to build upon this momentum with our intelligent Next-Generation Firewalls (i+NGFW) and virtualized software for data centers to advance our position in future magic quadrant reports."

According to the report, "firewalls need to continually evolve to maintain effectiveness, responding to changes in threats as well as changes in enterprise network speed and complexity." The report also predicts the continued growth of next-generation firewalls: "Less than 40% of enterprise Internet connections today are secured using next-generation firewalls. By year-end 2018, this will rise to at least 85% of the installed base, with 90% of new enterprise-edge purchases being NGFWs as more enterprises realize the benefits of application and user control."

Hillstone's innovative, intelligent Next Generation Firewalls (i+NGFW) combine the company's unique Behavioral Intelligence technology with high-performance networking, enabling businesses to find and stop threats within minutes of an attack. By bringing together continuous monitoring, behavioral analytics, statistical clustering and interactive forensics, organizations can more rapidly detect, visualize, and protect against modern emerging threats. The advanced technology and attractive price-performance delivered across the company's product line have enabled Hillstone to amass more than 10,000 customers globally.
