Gartner Names Altia Systems® a Cool Vendor in Unified Communications

Altia Systems® - the leader in personal panoramic video - today announced that Gartner, Inc., recognized the PanaCast panoramic video camera and service in its "Cool Vendors in Unified Communications (News - Alert), 2015" report. Each year, Gartner identifies new Cool Vendors that make advancements in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting these innovative vendors and their products and services. In this year's report, authors Bern Elliot and Tom Eagle focused on enhancing the collaboration experience between employees and with customers.

"PanaCast improves everyday productivity for employees with their coworkers and with their customers by delivering a natural 'being there' experience which is intuitive and simple to use, as our customers in over 300 businesses know," said Aurangzeb Khan, President and CEO of Altia Systems. "We regard our inclusion in the Cool Vendor report as an acknowledgment of the value PanaCast brings in improving everyday collaboration and productivity with enterprise-level impact. Altia Systems will continue to bring innovations in the panoramic video collaboration experience to our customers."

Altia Systems, one of five companies making the 2015 list, earned its place with industry-leading innovations in multi-imager camera design, panoramic video processor development, cloud or on-premises based video server software, and apps. Together they deliver an immersive experience with simultaneous, personal control for all participants, whether on PCs, Macs, Android (News - Alert) or iOS devices or smartphone, anywhere in our connected world. PanaCast® cameras work with popular collaboration systems like Microsoft® Skype for Business, Skype®, Cisco® WebEx®, Google (News - Alert) Hangouts®, Citrix® GoToMeeting®, Vidyo®, Zoom®, etc. With the PanaCast Experiece service, each participant has full and individual control of camera selection, pan and zoom, enabling them to look around as they like, much as they do in live discussions. The service works stand alone or integrated at the experience level with Microsoft® Skype for Business.

Like past Cool Vendor honorees, Altia Systems continues to bring industry-first technologies, products and solutions to market that transform how we see and connect electronically, from the conventional narrow view to an interactive, natural human visual experience.
