Acuant Launches SnapShell® Duplex for Double-Sided Information CaptureLOS ANGELES, April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Acuant, the leading provider of credential management solutions, announced today the launch of its SnapShell® Duplex product, which simultaneously captures critical information from both sides of an ID using the latest in high resolution, dual camera technology.  The product builds on Acuant's SnapShell® R2 product by adding double-sided information capture of image and textual data from identity cards, such as river's licenses, for faster processing. Using camera technology, the product is maintenance free and requires no calibration, unlike older generation scanners which may require servicing after as few as 500 scans. Used in conjunction Acuant's idScan® software, companies can leverage captured information for front and back comparison of data, and then verify information with third party systems. The product captures relevant textual and visual data from identity documents, making it faster and easier to authenticate identity, verify a person's age and help screen for counterfeit IDs.
