The Promira Serial Platform is the most advanced serial device available for test, measurement and emulation. It provides a unique feature set to address previously unmet needs including:

  • integrated level-shifting for high-performance/low-power applications
  • high-speed USB and Ethernet connectivity to the host system for enhanced performance
  • an all-new architecture enabling the download and update of device applications, providing on the fly upgrades ensuring access to the latest and most advanced capabilities as they become available.

With the increase of connected devices and the movement towards the Internt of Things (IoT), capturing, analyzing and transmitting data in real-time is becoming more and more crucial. The Promira platform is a necessary tool to move in the right direction; it currently supports the I2C and SPI protocols with faster clock rates, additional protocols, and advanced slave-emulation to be added in the near future. Integrated level shifting ensures the ability to easily work at a variety of voltages ranging from 0.9 to 5.0 volts without the need for costly and troublesome accessory boards. With full support for the I2C fast-mode plus specification, the Promira platform provides I2C at speeds up to 1 MHz for both Master and Slave, in addition to SPI speeds up to 12.5 MHz master and 8 MHz slave. SPI speeds greater than 80 MHz M/S along with full support for Single, Dual and Quad I/O SPI are due for arrival early this spring.

"The Promira Serial Platform is a game-changer for embedded systems engineers and manufacturers, alike. It is the most cost-effective high-performance versatile tool on the market making it the new must-have tool for your design, test and manufacturing toolbox," said Gil Ben-Dov, CEO at Total Phase. "The adoption rate has far exceeded expectations and we are excited about ushering in the latest advanced I2C and SPI development tools."
