BrandProtect™ to Discuss the New Fraud Frontier at 14th Annual Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Conference

BrandProtect, an expert in Internet risk detection and threat mitigation, today announced that the company will be participating in two panel discussions at the International Quality & Productivity Center's (IQPC (News - Alert)) 14th annual Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection conference, taking place January 26-28, 2015 in San Francisco, California.

On January 27th at 2:15 p.m. PST, Elyse Neumann, service director at BrandProtect, will moderate the panel discussion, "Brand Protection: Where is the Best Fit Organizationally?" This session will feature expert advice from WWE, Altria Client Services and Cummins, Inc. The panel will explore the expanded scope of brand reputational risk across enterprise teams and how businesses can structure security practices to utilize all corporate stakeholders.

In addition, on January 28th at 11:30 a.m. PT, Michael Kiefer, general manager at BrandProtect, will join Karima Saini, vice president & senior privacy compliance officer at MUFG Union Bank, for an interactive dialogue on "Social Domains: The New Frontier for Fraud." Moderated by BrandProtect vice president of business development Eric Baum, this session will offer conference attendees the chance to uncover details about threatening scam methods that wreak havoc on social media, as well as how businesses can better monitor and mitigate social threats against brand ambassadors.

As more organizations move business activities online, they run the risk of becoming a target in today's evolving cybercrime landscape. Cyber fraud, brand deception and social media threats are new realities for any business with an online presence. Many organizations have never had any formal security practices in place or proper internal training to accommodate these developing digital threats. In its two panel discussions, BrandProtect will address these challenges and identify key steps for businesses, particularly their legal, compliance, brand protection and corporate security stakeholders, to take when it comes to mitigating cyber threats and minimizing reputational and other risks.
