Latest Release of Gupta Technologies' TD Mobile Adds Offline Mode Applications, Point-and-Click Data Access Definitions, New Report Designer, and Many Other Features

Gupta Technologies, a global provider of application development, database and migration software, today announces the availability of a new release of its mobile enterprise development tool, TD Mobile version 1.2. This new version features an offline mode when no network reception is available and a new Report Designer that allows for a larger number of reports that can be added to any application.

A common challenge for companies enabling their workforce to use mobile devices is quality of reception. TD Mobile can now deliver a new multi-page offline mode. Companies can build applications that continue to work when the device is offline, including navigation between the pages of the app. Data changes can be stored to the local browser database and then synched when network connectivity has been restored.

TD Mobile's new Report Designer allows the user to design HTML or PDF reports including powerful reporting features like formulas, multiple break groups and easy formatting. Users can create a multitude of reports including but not limited to invoice reports and business reports. At runtime the report data is passed to the reporting engine and the newly-created report is opened in the client. These reports can also be sent by email to customers.

With TD Mobile version 1.2, defining data classes is very easy with the new database explorer for easy point-and-click data access definitions. Just select the data source, the table and the columns from the provided lists and mark them for use in a data class, without having to manually code the data classes for those tables. This feature strengthens TD Mobile's promise of "No Coding" required.
