Starz Names Scott Barton, Amy Kline And Eric Neal Senior Vice Presidents In Program Planning Department


Dave Baldwin, Executive Vice President, Program Planning at Starz today announced the promotions of Scott Barton, Amy Kline and Eric Neal to Senior Vice Presidents in the Denver-based Starz Program Planning department.

Baldwin commented, "I wish to congratulate Scott, Amy and Eric on their respective promotions and increases in responsibilities. Scott, Amy and Eric will have the opportunity and responsibility to lead the company into its next chapter of growth and operational excellence."

Barton was promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Branded Digital Content and Products where he will be responsible for leading the programming and product vision at Starz for all on demand, online, digital and consumer-facing video products and platforms. Barton will also identify and develop programming strategies that leverage the Starz catalog across new and emerging platforms. Since 2012, Barton previously served as Vice President, Digital and On Demand Programming at Starz. Barton joined Starz in 2002 and holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Amy Kline, an 18-year Starz veteran, was promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Programming Operations / Quality Control. Kline is responsible for all Starz content trafficking for the company's 17 STARZ, ENCORE and MOIEPLEX premium pay TV channels and associated services, in addition to content quality control, closed captioning, and worldwide distribution, including work with major film and television studios and premium television original productions. Since 2008, Kline served as Vice President, Programming Operations. Kline holds a BFA in Film Production from the University of Colorado at Boulder.



Eric Neal was promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Program Planning, which will encompass overseeing the teams responsible for Program Scheduling, Promotion Planning and Scheduling, as well as his current planning responsibilities for the management, competitive positioning, and strategic channel evaluation for the 17 STARZ, ENCORE and MOVIEPLEX premium pay TV channels. Neal is also the department's primary interface with the Starz Finance, Film Acquisitions, Legal/Business Affairs units regarding programming assets for the STARZ and ENCORE channels and services. Since 2012, Neal served as Vice President, Program Inventory and Planning. Neal joined Starz in 2003 and holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
