V33 on Cloud Nine with IRELEM’s Plug ‘n’ Play Videoconferencing Solution


French painting and wood products manufacturer V33 trusted AV solutions integrator and installer IRELEM to implement a Cloud based videoconferencing solution in order to reduce internal costs and facilitate its communications.

Marie de Grivel, V33 Managing Director Deputy Head and Communications Manager, explains: « We have historically been headquartered in the Jura countryside, so business trips to and for our clients and suppliers can sometimes be laborious. We were looking for a simple solution that would provide flexibility, as well as save us time and money. » IRELEM implemented a complete videoconferencing system from StarLeaf for V33’s HQ and five other European subsidiaries (in France, Belgium, Poland, Spain and Italy). Each system consists of a GT Mini videoconference system – terminal for calls, central microphone and 1080p fix camera – bundled with a full HD Sharp 60’’ flat screen with integrated speakers.



Virtual conference rooms can be automatically booked and user calendars are synchronised without the need to download any software. With an intuitive touch screen terminal, this plug ‘n’ play solution offers various advantages such as documents sharing, messages recording, invitations sharing and an automatic synchronisation of the entire company’s directory.

After identifying V33’s needs, IRELEM specified a multipoint service with two virtual meeting rooms: The first one can be booked for three to 17 users while the other is a three to five people self-service room. Breeze, a nomadic solution, completes the installation and allows users to connect to meetings (device to device, or device to virtual meeting room) anywhere with a computer, smartphone or tablet and a Wifi / 3G system by clicking on a link which takes to the web platform.


David Rolland, Director of V33 IT Department, explains why he turned to IRELEM: « We were looking for a collaborative solution for a while, and we wanted an integrator capable of understanding our needs and requirements. We recognised IRELEM as a trusted local service provider, since they already installed a bunch of projectors for our meeting rooms. So we naturally started to talk about videoconferencing solutions. » The ease of integration and usage of the StarLeaf solution was also a deciding factor for Rolland. IRELEM configured the system prior to the installation, so the IT team simply plugged the system on their internal network to make it operational, thus further reducing the installation costs. Updates are automatic and the system is entirely secured.

He explains: « Once StarLeaf was connected to our server, an engineer from IRELEM simply took over to finalise the installation remotely. The interface is so user friendly that we can’t really talk about any “user training” but rather informing. Our department was briefed on all technical aspects in less than two hours, and although IRELEM created a dedicated hotline for us, we never had any issues. » IRELEM really fostered a professional and close relationship, he goes onto say: “They understood that we did not want to invest in complex and costly systems. Their expertise and swift response only confirmed that we have made the right decision to work with them. The result is a reliable videoconferencing system that was fast to set up, is easy to use and improves internal collaboration. » V33 quickly reported a reduction of its internal costs, and projects are moving ahead more quickly and more efficiently. The solution is also proving to be useful for the HR department who can study usage patterns and monitor the evolution of working processes.

Sébastien Moretto, Account Manager at IRELEM, explains why he chose the StarLeaf Cloud videoconferencing system for V33: « What makes us stand out from other integrators is first and foremost our proximity, and the fact that we don’t just pull out a product from a catalogue and hope that it will be suitable: We specify innovative solutions that are tailor made, with a professional after sales support. » V33 didn’t waste time to put this solution to profit: the Finance, IT and Marketing departments in particular are already making good use of StarLeaf to work with their counterparts in other subsidiaries, making team work more efficient.

Sales representatives prefer to use the mobile version (Breeze), and connect to the application through a connected device: When they need to set up a meeting, they send a link over email to their contacts which directs them to a virtual meeting room.

The mobile function was a crucial aspect as Rolland confirms: “Our sales guys are always out and about, so Breeze helps them to reach out to their contacts. With this mobile version, they can even update their availability and create lists of favourites ».

Marie de Grivel summarises: « The entire company communication is improved. It is now quicker to make a decision and take actions. Thanks to IRELEM, this tool helps us to optimise our time, it makes our subsidiaries’ life easier and it improves our proximity. »
