Entrust to Host Mobile and Digital Identity Workshop at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS 2014

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 30 October 2014 Release date- 29102014 - MINNETONKA, Minn - Entrust, now part of Datacard Group, today announced that they will be hosting a workshop at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS 2014 that focuses on how mobile has changed, and continues to evolve, business practices.

The session, titled 'Mobile Has Changed Your Business: Now What?' will be led by industry experts Lindsay Kent and Chris Taylor from Entrust, and will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 5th from 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. in the exhibit hall.

Taylor and Kent will discuss how the introduction of mobile devices has clearly evolved how businesses operate. Almost every enterprise has now migrated to mobile platforms as security, convenience and functionality continue to converge to enable a more diverse and digitally-connected world. Mobile is now an extension of each employee, user or vendor, and enterprises no longer have to focus on how mobile devices are introduced to a given environment - bring your own device (BYOD) or otherwise - but rather the empowerment and security of the digital identities that all consumers, citizens and enterprises need to protect.

'Life is connected in every way - from the way we interface as a consumer in terms of applications on our computers, on our phones, online, in stores; to our lives as citizens and how we interface with our governments; to our lives as employees in terms of how we and our business partners access systems,' said Lindsay Kent, vice president of product management, Entrust. 'These are all driven by mobile and the connected consumer. Today, this mobile technology puts an incredible amount of services and applications at our fingertips, but gives us more complexity in how we secure and protect our digital identities.' This session will bring diverse perspectives and insights into how to protect and secure these digital identities within an enterprise. The session will explore real-world use cases where new takes on mobile, credentialing, payment and digital identities are used to effect change in any environment.

Entrust, part of Datacard Group, will also be exhibiting at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS, stand #3F004. Datacard Group acquired Entrust in late 2013 and the CARTES exhibit features collaborative solutions that have been in development since the deal closed.
