First Choice Bank Raises a Record Amount for its Annual Charity Golf Tournament


CERRITOS, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

First Choice Bank is proud to announce the successful raise of $25,500.00 from the Bank's Fourth Annual Golf Tournament in support and recognition of 18 non-profit organizations in our local communities. The bank welcomed its Supporters at the Black Gold Golf Course in Yorba Linda on October 9, 2014. This year's donation was a record high for this annual event tournament for the bank since its inception in August 2005.

For the first time, a Citizen of the Year award was presented at the dinner reception to recognize an outstanding citizen who has exemplified the values of volunteerism and philanthropy - Mr. B.U. Patel.

Mr. Patel dedicated his life to starting Tarsadia Foundation, which is an organization that has funded and continues to support non-profit organizations (locally and internationally) with its mission to serve underserved communities in education, health and human services and provide economic empowerment. His selfles giving and dedication to the community inspire us all to follow in his footsteps.



The 18 non-profit organizations receiving at least $1,000 each this year were: ABC Unified School District Education Foundation, After School All-Stars, American Family Housing, Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, Breast Cancer Angels, Caring Connections, Da Vinci School - Passport to the Real World, Food Finders, Harvest Haven Community Service Center, Herald Community Center of Rowland Heights, Jenesse Center Inc., Journey House Youth, Kids Konnected, Long Beach Rescue Mission - Lydia House, Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, Operation Help a Hero, UCLA UniCamp, and Union Station Homeless Services of San Gabriel.
