Utimaco, Inc. Appoints Thorsten Groetker as Chief Technology Officer


PALO ALTO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Utimaco (News - Alert), a worldwide leading manufacturer of hardware-based security solutions, today announced the addition of industry veteran Thorsten Groetker as the company's chief technology officer. In his role, Groetker will also lead the company's research and development efforts.

With more than 20 years of experience in electronic design automation, Groetker comes to Utimaco with deep expertise in engineering, software architecture and development, and large-scale project management. Prior to joining Utimaco, Groetker spent 16 years at Synopsys (News - Alert), where he helped develop and drive industry-wide adoption of the company's technology and prodcts. Groetker holds a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from Aachen University of Technology in Germany.
