IEEE Transportation Electrification Initiative Drives Transportation Ecosystems Experience to Greenville, SC

The IEEE (News - Alert) Transportation Ecosystems Experience in Greenville, SC will feature demo-style presentations, lab tours, vehicle driving and interactive vehicle-infrastructure demonstrations that underline the need for standards to implement automotive technology innovations.





WHO:   IEEE Transportation Electrification Initiative, in collaboration with the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) and SC Technology & Aviation Center (SC-TAC).
 
WHAT: The IEEE Transportation Ecosystems Experience will focus on three driving "experiences" - driving electric, driving connected and driving automated.
 
The automotive trends of the future will be on display, including electric vehicles, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, wireless charging, DSRC radios, cloud-based mobile apps, robotics system architectures, 360-degree awareness, and BMW-developed connected vehicle/driving assistant innovations.

Check-in at Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) Campus, TD Gallery, located at 5 Research Drive, Greenville, SC 29607 - parking available in the CU-ICAR parking garage.
 

Vehicle Exhibition & Driving Demonstrations:

Check-in at SC-TAC Administration Building located at 2 Exchange Drive Greenville, SC 29605 - vehicle exhibition, driving demos are located at the track of the International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) a five-minute drive from the check-in point.

The IEEE Transportation Ecosystems Event Experience is open to anyone interested in understanding the latest innovation trends in automotive and seeing the innovations in action by driving demonstrations at the ITIC test track explained by industry and academic experts.
