LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

Mojix today announced the grant of another key US patent, adding to its growing portfolio of intellectual property covering fixed infrastructure RFID solutions with RTLS capabilities. The most recent grant of US patent number 8,629,762 applies to the application of location estimation techniques as well as to the tracking of sensors and passive RFID tags.

This patent, along with U.S. Patents 7,633,377, 7,873,326, 8,072,311, 8,395,482, 8,400,271, 8,552,835 ,8,629,762, 8,680,970, and 8,768,248, establish Mojix's key contributions to applying phased array and smart antenna techniques to locating and tracking sensors or passive tags in both indoor or outdoor propagation environments. These patents present key breakthroughs for locating sensors in both line-of-sight and non-line-sight scenarios frequently encountered in real world applications.

"Mojix's patents are all employed in our product portfolio, and are fundamental to bringing key business benefits to our customers in retail, oil and gas and many other markets", according to Mike Kastner, SVP Global Sales & Marketing. Dr. Alisobhani, SVP Engineering, further commented: "Mojix continues to innovate approaches that solve key problems present in today's sensor networks with emerging applications in Internet-of-Things (IoT).
