SAP Recognized as a Market Leader in Gartner, Inc.'s Enterprise Architecture Tools Magic Quadrant

Additionally, SAP has made significant investments to SAP PowerDesigner, a critical component of the SAP Data Management portfolio, to help ensure that it continues to meet the changing needs and challenges of businesses seeking to improve their information and enterprise architectures.

Improved enterprise asset dashboards include moving charting and graphing capabilities to the web, which allows for a dashboard experience that helps enterprise architects with all their planning needs. This new dashboard will enable real-time insight from architecture models.


New modeling techniques in a web user interface delivers a new business process modeling and notation (BPMN) editor, which allows anyone anywhere to create business processes in SAP PowerDesigner. Using the 'descriptive' BPMN, users can document business processes using a simplified palette, while the executable BPMNels can work directly with the users choice of process orchestration engine and it has been specifically tested with SAP Business Process Management software for use with Intelligent Business Operations and operational intelligence solutions.

Additionally, new support for Big Data and data warehousing starting with Hadoop Hive support, SAP PowerDesigner now includes support for data systems focused on Big Data. The inclusion of Greenplum further supports accurate analytics with SAP PowerDesigner's modeling of this popular warehouse store.
