The system is an open, agile, and high-performance cloud operating system that supports server virtualization for enterprises and telecom operators and enables them to offer private, public, and hybrid cloud services. It has been recognized by industry organizations including the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) in July 2014. The integration of the standardized OpenStack architecture and application programming interfaces (APIs) enables the seamless migration of applications developed based on OpenStack to FusionSphere.
