Semtech Enables the Next Generation of 100G Optical/Electrical Modules and Backplane Applications at ECOC 2014CAMARILLO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Semtech Corp. (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced its participation in several OIF (News - Alert) Multivendor Interoperability demonstrations to be held at ECOC 2014. Semtech's GN2104 CDR's are featured in optical and active-copper module applications for 100G CFP4 LR4 and 100G CFP4. The GN2504 25-28Gb/s backplane re-timers are demonstrated in high-loss backplanes operating with high-crosstalk. In addition, the Semtech GN2104 Quad 25-28Gbps CDR is showcased in a dedicated QSFP28 chip-to-module channel demonstration that highlights compliance to the OIF CEI-28G-VSR and IEEE (News - Alert) CAUI-4 specifications. The breadth of demonstrated applications exhibits Semtech's ability in providing a broad range of high-speed re-timer and clock & data recovery (CDR) solutions optimized for low power and maximum flexibility with the ability to address several module and system applications.
