Racklive Announces New Low Latency Server Line Optimized to Provide up to 30% Lower Latency, Than Competing Solutions, for Improved Trading Performance

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/22/14 -- Racklive, a leading provider of made-to-order datacenter solutions for companies worldwide, announces the immediate availability of their new Low Latency Server line. The Low Latency Line is architected for High Frequency Trading (HFT) and High Performance Computing (HPC) applications. The new RL-1210BR-HFT, a 1U server, and the RL-2210BR-HFT, a 2U server, are the first members of the new line. These Low Latency Servers are designed and optimized to provide up to 30% lower latency and minimize jitter to help traders increase fill rates and bottom line profits. Racklive is featuring the new Low Latency Server line at today's High Performance Computing for Wall Street conference in New York City.

The RL-1210BR-HFT Low Latency Server is a 1U design featuring dual Intel Haswell EP 2643 v3 processors with 16 DDR4 DIMMs clocked at up to 2133MHz, four PCI-Express expansion slots, four Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and up to ten 2.5" hot-swappable drives. Support for up to two hot-swappable NVM Express PCI-E hard drives also provide for improved scalability.

The RL-2210BR-HFT Low Latency Server is a 2U design featuring dual Intel Xeon Ivy Bridge E5-2687W v2 processors with 16 DDR3 DIMMs clocked at up to 1866Mhz, six PCI-Express expansion slots, dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and up to ten 3.5" hot-swappable drives.

Both platforms utilize hardware and firmware optimizations for improved performance and feature high-efficiency power and cooling components for best-in-class thermals to sustained maximum performance.

"These new Low Latency Servers are game changers for trading companies," said Joel Wineland, Chief Technology Officer for Racklive. "By combining high performance processors, optimized hardware and firmware, best-in-class thermals, and plenty of expansion capability, these servers will provide a big edge over commodity servers." Wineland also noted that Racklive will be adding additional products to the Low Latency Servers line later this year.
