Saelig Introduces New Economical 50MHz 4-Channel Oscilloscope

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 16 September 2014 Release date- 15092014 - Fairport, NY - Saelig Company, Inc.(www.saelig.com) has announced a new addition to their range of Rigol 4-channel DS1000Z oscilloscopes - the DS1054Z, priced at the cost of an introductory two-channel instrument - a remarkable $399.00.

This oscilloscope utilizes Rigol's proprietary UltraVision technology, borrowed from its expensive DS6000 series, to provide superior performance and functionality in this class. Designed especially for extremely cost conscious embedded engineers, technicians and educators who need advanced analysis capabilities in a modern oscilloscope design, the DS1054Z with its 7' WVGA color LCD and 12Mpt memory provides an uncompromised solution at an amazing price. The huge memory depth can optionally be extended even more to 24Mpts for drilling deep into a stream of data.

The DS1054Z offers 50MHz bandwidth on each of its four analog channels, sampling at a maximum rate of 1GSa/sec. Waveforms are captured and refreshed at up to up to 30,000wfms/s waveform capture rate. This compact and lightweight scope has powerful trigger functions and broad analysis capabilities, all easily viewed on a 7' WVGA screen that features multiple intensity levels on its waveform display.

Designed to reduce test time in research, development and failure analysis applications, the DS1054Z digital oscilloscope facilitates signal and device characteristic detection with comprehensive trigger functions, hardware-based real time waveform search and analysis functions. Trigger functions include, among others, runt, setup-hold, windows, edge, and automatic measurements with statistics. The multi-lingual user interface allows easy configuration of the oscilloscope in many local languages.

Rigol's UltraVision Technology is based on specialized hardware and intelligent software, using a custom-designed UltraVision chipset. It is a hardware and software architecture accelerator which avoids burdening the embedded CPU by handling, calculating, and administering the huge amount of data produced by the fast A-to-D data conversion. Each action processed by the CPU would normally form a 'blindtime', slowing the waveform capture rate. And since the waveform display is also handled by a special Waveform-Plotter hardware function, this too does not increase the CPU's workload. Other functions such as Trigger, Pass/Fail decision, Record-Function control are also integrated in the hardware chipset, without needing processor resources.

The DS1054Z offers comprehensive connectivity, including LAN (LX-C), USB Host & Device, and USB-GPIB (optional) connections. Serial Triggering and Decoding and waveform record and replay are also optionally available. Designed with its innovative technology to meet the requirements of students and engineers alike, this new scope offers industry-leading price/performance specifications, powerful trigger functions, and broad analysis capabilities, and is ideal for applications in research and education, industrial and consumer electronics, and computing and instrumentation industries.

Made by RIGOL Technologies, a rapidly growing test and measurement company and the world's second largest oscilloscope manufacturer by volume, the DS1054Z oscilloscope is available now with a 3-year warranty from Saelig Company, Inc.
