Interface Masters Technologies, an industry leader and innovator in networking solutions, announces its family of Intel based Network Appliances, the Niagara 13xx. The Niagara 13xx is a 1U appliance based on Intel S1600JP (Jackson Pass Motherboard). This is supported by the Intel® Ivy Bridge® architecture and Xeon Server class Processor E5-2600 and E5-1600. The appliance comes in multiple configurations for network speeds and media; supports up to 20 ports of 1G and/or up to 12 ports of 10G. The appliance also supports different offload technology based on leading solutions including encryption acceleration, SSL and IPSEC offload, deep packet inspection and networking functionality offload. The Niagara 13xx family has the option for SATA SSD or Hard Drive internal for storage.
This fully programmable network appliance is flexible, supporting multiple customer configurations for applications such as Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Monitoring, WAN Optimization, and application delivery controller (ADC).
This highly reliable x86 based appliance has been designed for efficient internal cooling by reducing the internal cabling. Along with this, the Niagara 13xx family comes with hot swappable dual redundancy power supplies and field replaceable fans to ensure reliability.
