Huawei Opens Innovation Center at Partner-Port in Walldorf, Germany


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 15 August 2014 Release date- 14082014 - Walldorf, Germany - Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, announced today the opening of its Huawei Innovation Center at the 'Partner-Port Walldorf,' located at SAP's headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.



The center was officially opened on July 21, 2014 and will help facilitate performance and standards testing, highlight exhibits of products and solutions,and training certification. It will also serve as an incubator for the development of innovative partner and customer solutions.

The Huawei Innovation Center will support the joint customers of Huawei and SAP around the world, with a primary focus on Europe and Germany. While the center will focus initially on development of joint solutions to support go-to-market activities in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets over the next two years, Huawei hopes to expand it to become its largest joint partner innovation center within five years.


The center was launched at the recent 'Huawei Day' held at SAP's headquarters in July, where the two partners shared insights on the future of the enterprise industry. In both an exhibition booth and truck show, Huawei presented its latest networking, storage, server and telepresence solutions.

'We look forward to building a comprehensive partnership with SAP to collaborate on technologies and innovations such as the SAP HANA platform, cloud data center technology, mobility, smart city, big data, machine-to-machine (M2M) and others o complement our respective strengths and capabilities.' During Huawei Day, Alex Atzberger, chief of staff, SAP, said: 'Huawei and SAP share strong engineering cultures and a strong customer focus. Through the opening of Huawei's Innovation Center at the Partner-Port in Walldorf, our teams can now bring our complementary assets together to help simplify our customers' IT landscapes and innovate breakthrough solutions based on the SAP HANA platform.' Since July 2012, Huawei and SAP have worked together in areas including enterprise applications, business analytics, mobility, cloud computing, and data center technology. Huawei FusionCube for SAP HANA was introduced in 2013 and it has been successfully deployed in more than 16 projects across Europe and China. Huawei and SAP are currently cooperating on the development of other solutions and pilot testing cloud, smart city and BYOD solutions.
