Infor Continues to Help Improve the Quality and Accuracy of Data at OhioHealth

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 08/11/14 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced that OhioHealth, a not-for-profit, faith-based system of hospitals and healthcare providers located in Columbus, Ohio, and surrounding areas, has successfully upgraded to Infor Cloverleaf 6.0. The organization has been using Infor Cloverleaf for nearly 15 years, a system that provides a common platform and infrastructure that healthcare organizations can build upon to address evolving healthcare integration, data aggregation, and exchange demands. OhioHealth has been able to manage all of its interfaces in one place and exchange patient information more efficiently and securely, improving the speed and quality of patient care.

With Infor, OhioHealth has been able to connect 14 production sites, eight main health systems and eight core hospitals, processing more than 13 million messages a day. OhioHealth leverages several components in the Infor Cloverleaf Suite that include Global Monitor, Data Integrator and Security Server. These components provide better monitoring tools to the customer support center, provide integration to single or multi-vendor database management systems and deliver a more secure environment to prevent unauthorized access by requiring defined user IDs, passwords, and access control lists to better meet HIPAA requirements.

"There really is only one word to define working with Infor and using Infor Cloverleaf -- stability. Compared to other interface engines, Infor offers a system that we can depend on, and it's essential to be able to trust that our systems are being supported given the size of our organization," said Robert Wardrip, manager, Data Integration, OhioHealth. "Infor Cloverleaf has also been integral in our Epic integration, it offers robust tools with a lot of flexibility and usability, and the newest version of 6.0 provides new configuration tools that have proven very beneficial to the team." Infor Cloverleaf has provided OhioHealth with secure clinical integration messaging, monitoring, archiving, resiliency, and more cost-efficient interoperability via industry-standard protocols and web services. Through this application, the organization has been able to aggregate disparate patient information systems and data, inside and out, across a wide array of source systems, message formats, and transmission protocols.  "The ability to move from silo-driven data to hospital-wide information simultaneously is very important to the success of any sized healthcare organization," said Mike Poling, vice president, Healthcare, Infor. "Infor Healthcare is able to deliver tools that expedite interoperability for maximum data transparency -- critical for day-to-day operations and compliance, as well as help our customers operate in today's complex healthcare environment while addressing changing regulatory mandates."
