WP Engine Appoints Klee Kleber as Chief Marketing Officer


AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--

WP Engine, a leading SaaS (News - Alert) content management platform for websites and applications built on WordPress, today announced the appointment of Klee Kleber as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). With more than 20 years of marketing and leadership experience, Kleber has previously served as SVP, Marketing and Product Development at Rackspace (News - Alert) as well as VP Marketing at Dell. At WP Engine, Kleber will be responsible for the oversight of all global marketing activities ranging from product marketing and partner enablement to demand generation and corporate communications.

Kleber joined Rackspace, the Open Cloud Company, seven years ago to run marketing during a major rebranding effort and IPO. He led the company's entrance into the private cloud market and helped expand its private cloud customer base from just a handful to one of the company's principal sources of growth.

At Dell (News - Alert), Kleber led multiple marketing functions for its notebook line, from inception to first place market share 10 years later. He also launched Dell's e-commerce business in Japan and established the company's SMB business in Germany. Kleber also worked at Segway where he helped establish the personal transporter in multiple market segments, including police, security, tour operations and consumer markets.
