McAfee Positioned Again in the Leaders Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management in Gartner's Magic Quadrant
SANTA CLARA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
part of Intel (News - Alert) Security, today announced that leading research firm
Gartner, Inc. has positioned the company in the leaders quadrant in its
"Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management" as
published on June 25, 2014*.
According to the report, "Broad adoption of SIEM technology is being
driven by the need to detect threats and breaches, as well as by
compliance needs." And "the greatest area of unmet need is effective
targeted attack and breach detection. Organizations are failing at early

threat intelligence, the addition of behavior profiling and better
analytics." Additionally, the report highlights that "scalability is a
major consideration with SIEM deployments."
