Datalink Climbs to #47 on CRN's List of Top 500 Technology Integrators

MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--

Datalink (NASDAQ:DTLK), a leading provider of data center infrastructure and services, announced today that it placed #47 on CRN's just-released 2014 Solution Provider 500 list of the top technology integrators in North America by revenue. Datalink's SP500 ranking has climbed annually since the company's first appearance on the list five years ago at #195, gaining five points in the last year alone. The growth has been fueled by strategic diversification of the company's portfolio to help IT teams navigate major changes in the data center landscape.

Today, Datalink supplies a full spectrum of next-generation data center technologies as well as a comprehensive suite of managed, unified support and advanced services including cloud enablement, virtualization, data center relocation, system and application migration, and business continuity/disaster recovery planning. This ongoing expansion of the company's products and services has built revenues from both new and existing customers.

In the last 12 months alone, Datalink has added new cloud consulting services spanning cloud readiness assessment, cloud strategy and workload alignment, service catalog development, and the design, deployment and automation of self-service IT portals enabling business users with no IT knowedge to request IT services. Many of these services are linchpins in helping organizations adapt to new IT roles shaped by the emergence of third-party cloud service providers and other technology shifts.

"Our growth is directly related to the challenges organizations face in planning and executing new projects to keep up with changing technologies. In-house IT teams typically lack the personnel to address these needs, with priority going to day-to-day activities and strategic projects that will help generate business for their company," said Datalink President and CEO Paul Lidsky (News - Alert). "With our best-of-breed infrastructure products as well as broad-based deployment and consulting services, more customers are relying on us for more services to supplement their own personnel at all stages of the data center lifecycle."

"The annual Solution Provider 500 represents those companies that truly understand the needs of customers today as the IT landscape evolves," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "With so many options, this list has become an invaluable resource for vendors working hard to navigate the solution provider community and identify the best partner for their business. We congratulate the featured solution providers and look forward to covering their continued success."

A sampling of the 2014 SP500 list is featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and is featured online at www.crn.com and in the CRN Tech News app, available for iPad and Windows 8.
