Quorum and Hayes Announce Strategic Partnership

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- Quorum®, the leader in instant application recovery, today announced a strategic partnership with Hayes E-Government Resources, Inc., a provider of quality goods and services to state, county, local governments, and commercial and educational organizations in Florida. Through this partnership, Hayes leverages Quorum's integrated disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) solution in its ProtectCloud HA to eliminate downtime for its midmarket government and education customers.

Powered by Quorum, Hayes' ProtectCloud HA solution provides comprehensive data protection and server availability to its considerable midmarket government and educational customer base. The solution leverages Quorum's single-step DRaaS technology for business continuity and on-demand application restoration; DR diagnostics and testing capabilities are also included, ensuring ProtectCloud HA will perform as expected in the event of a disaster. Under this partnership, one Quorum appliance will reside on the customer's premises to back up servers and provide onsite high availability (HA); the second will reside in Hayes' data center.

Aside from the unique technology, the partnership also allows for a novel support and pricing model. Through Hayes, Quorum can be purchased via Florida state contract, which effectively eliminates the need for customers to go through an RFP. In addition, public and commercial companies can buy off the Hayes contract as a sole source outside of Florida.

"Hayes' long-standing tradition of providing high-quality technology solutions to its customers continues with this partnership," said Jeff Chaffin at Hayes. "With Quorum's best-in-class DRaaS technology as the engine in our ProtectCloud HA, Hayes adds to its arsenal a powerful solution for business continuity that is unrivaled in the industry." Whether caused by hardware or software failure, human error, or natural disaster, system downtime can shut down critical systems and bring business operations to a halt. This is especially devastating for government and educational organizations, whose thousands of customers and students rely on them for day-to-day necessities. With Quorum, downtime events are essentially eliminated, ensuring instant asset restoration so that daily activities remain uninterrupted and business continuity prevails.

"Easy to use, cost-effective and PCI-compliant, the Quorum DRaaS solution is the best defense against costly downtime events, which are particularly vexing for midmarket government and educational organizations," said John Gallagher, VP Marketing, Quorum. "With its Quorum-powered ProtectCloud HA solution, Hayes customers can rest assured that they have the very best in disaster recovery protecting their critical assets."
