University-Wide Adoption of Qualtrics Research Suite Grows by 40 Percent

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) PROVO, UT -- (Marketwired) -- 04/23/14 -- News SynopsisQualtrics today announced a 40 percent year-over-year growth in the university-wide adoption of Qualtrics Research Suite. Ideally suited for academic research, Qualtrics Research Suite is the standard survey and research platform used by universities today, including every major U.S. university and 97 of the top 100 business schools. By adopting a university-wide license, many of these institutions are not only extending their use of Qualtrics campus-wide, but are also realizing significant cost savings.

Higher quality research university-wide In many universities, departments have individual licenses, which can limit usage to a few select groups across campus. However, institutions with a university-wide license can make a secure, easy-to-use survey solution available across all departments. For example, Utah State University realized that it was spending 70 percent of what a university-wide license would cost, but was getting the benefits for less than 20 percent of its faculty and staff. By paying 30 percent more, the university extended these benefits to 100 percent of faculty and staff, as well as its entire student body. "We saw the growing popularity of Qualtrics across campus, but having each department pay for an individual license was not cost-effective," said Eric Hawley, CIO of Utah State University. "For very little additional investment, we purchased a university-wide license and gave everyone access. We are seeing a significant impact on the university's collective knowledge base through higher quality surveys, research and analysis."Flexibility for any kind of academic research The popularity of Qualtrics Research Suite as the research platform of choice at today's top universities and business schools is due to its intuitive user interface, rigorous survey design functionality and robust reporting and analytics capabilities to conduct simple or sophisticated academic research. Because Qualtrics is an extremely flexible platform, faculty, staff and students can capture data and collect research in a myriad of ways, including market research, experimental design, program administration, institutional research and assessments, course evaluations, event registration, student surveys and alumni outreach. "Qualtrics Research Suite is unequivocally the best platform for sophisticated academic research," said Dr. Corinne Bendersky, associate professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. "We have yet to find something we just can't do with Qualtrics."Qualtrics gives students and graduates a research edge Universities and business schools are preparing their students for data-intensive careers by introducing them to Qualtrics, the enterprise survey platform used by more than half of the Fortune 100. "The cost-effectiveness alone of a university-wide Qualtrics license was compelling, but the huge increase in access and potential use was the larger story," said Hawley. "We take great pride in sending our students into the professional market with a deep familiarity with Qualtrics, which gives them a research edge." "I think it's safe to say that most MBAs know Qualtrics," said Dani Wanderer, head of Marketing at Qualtrics. "Graduates can have a tangible and immediate impact in their jobs with the knowledge of Qualtrics. They can help their companies be more competitive with the ability to gather valuable customer, market and employee insights."Supporting Resources Qualtrics academic case studies Qualtrics on Social: Qualtrics Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn About QualtricsQualtrics is the world's leading enterprise survey technology provider.
