Kaspersky Lab Appoints Chris Doggett Managing Director, North America

WOBURN, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

Kaspersky Lab (News - Alert) announced the appointment of Chris Doggett, to the position of Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab North America. As Managing Director of the North American market, Chris is responsible for the company's sales, marketing, and business development functions and for achieving the company's objectives for growth in market share and profitability. Chris also has shared management oversight and responsibility for the public relations, customer support, finance, human resources and information technology functions.

Chris brings more than a decade of sales, marketing and operational experience in the information security market to the company. Prior to his role as Managing Director, Chris was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales, Kaspersky Lab North America, during which time he was responsible for leading the B2B Sales team and implementing changes which have led to exceptional sales growth and material improvements in the group's operating margin.

Chris' leadership over the last two years has helped propel the company momentum and success. During this time the company has won a number of awards and acclaim in both the security technology industry and the channel press. Most recently, in January 2014 Kaspersky Lab was named a "Leader" in the Gartner 2014 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms for the third year in a row. This prestigious recognition further solidifies Kaspersky Lab's status as a top provider of endpoint protection solutions, and puts the company in a position to anticipate double digit growth in 2014 and top the significant sales growth reported in 2013:

  • Sales Growth:
    • New business growth rates doubled over the prior year (2012)
    • Sales in the mid-market segment (250 - 2500) grew by more than 42 percent
    • Sales to existing customers increased in value more than 20 percent on average
  • Partner Growth:
    • Increased the number of deal registration by 25 percent YoY (2012-2013)
    • Recruited over 800 new partners

Steve Orenberg will be stepping down from his position of President, Kaspersky Lab North America. In his new role, Chris will report directly to Garry Kondakov, Chief Business Officer. Prior to joining Kaspersky Lab in 2012, Chris was the global channel sales leader at Sophos and has served in senior leadership roles at several high-growth companies.
