Violin Memory Appoints Ebrahim Abbasi Senior Vice President, Operations
SANTA CLARA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Memory®, Inc., (NYSE:VMEM), a leading provider of flash storage

enterprise, today announced the appointment of Ebrahim Abbasi as senior
vice president of operations. Mr. Abbasi will report to Kevin DeNuccio (News - Alert),
president and chief executive officer.
As a veteran of Silicon Valley with an established track record in high
growth companies as well as multiple turnaround success stories, Mr.
Abbasi brings more than 25 years of executive experience to his
role at Violin Memory. Ebrahim's responsibilities will encompass all
areas of operational excellence from gross margins to profitability.

Most recently, Mr. Abbasi served as President for Roamware (News - Alert) (now
Mobileum) where he was responsible for restructuring and refocusing the
company on a growth path. Prior to Roamware he held the position of
President and Chief Operating Officer at Force10 Networks Inc. where he
transformed the company into a major cloud computing powerhouse and led
its acquisition by Dell in 2011.
Before joining Force10, Ebrahim held the position of senior vice
president and COO/CIO for Redback Networks (News - Alert), Inc. where he directly
contributed to the turnaround of the company's corporate operations
functions that transformed the company into a thought leader, with the
company later being acquired by Ericsson (News - Alert). Ebrahim was also a member of
the executive team that grew Ascend Communications into an acquisition
target by Lucent Technologies before his role at Redback Networks.
Mr. Abbasi holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Tehran.
