Ipeer launches new Swedish Hosted Azure Pack-cloud

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Karlstad -- Swedish cloud provider Ipeer today launched Hosted Azure Pack. The service offers enterprises functionality fully consistent with Microsoft cloud service Windows Azure but at a price up to forty percent lower in a cloud based in Sweden. Ipeer is seeing the beginning of a Microsoft Cloud OS-based ecosystem of local cloud providers and hopes to attract thousands of new customers within twelve months. Hosted Azure Pack enables customers to extend their Hyper-V server environment to the Ipeer cloud. They may also put it in the Ipeer cloud while retaining the freedom to move it on to any other Hyper-V-environment later. Windows Azure-customers may also move virtual machines to and from Ipeer. Hosted Azure Pack is based on proven Microsoft technology and Parallels new APS.

"Our customers want the cloud's scalability and cost efficiency - but frequently also to have their data in Sweden or get customized solutions at limited cost. Thanks to Microsoft's Cloud OS vision so they can now get that on proven Windows software with no lock-in effect, at a competitive price. For instance, our cloud currently costs forty percent less than the Windows Azure XL-offering. We expect several thousand new business clients within a year," said Ipeer CEO Johan Hedlund.

"Customers have a strong desire for, in-country service providers to deliver the full portfolio of cloud services that make sense for their business" said John Zanni, chief marketing officer, Service Provider, Parallels. "Parallels is excited to see IPeer aggressively launch an offer that is specifically targeted for their audience." Microsoft's Cloud OS vision is that customers should be able to have an experience entirely consistent with the Windows Azure even if they use Microsoft software in their own data center or with a cloud provider. In Hosted Azure Pack, you can create virtual machines and networks as required with great stability and scalability, and pay only for what you use.

Ipeer Hosted Azure Pack is a cloud service based on Windows Azure Pack, Windows Server 2012R2 and System Center 2012R2 with Parallels Automation and the new Azure Pack APS 2 (Application Package Standard), which Ipeer was one of five select companies to test this fall. Because many of its services use code originally created for the Windows Azure public cloud, the Windows Azure Pack was designed to inherently meet the performance requirements of modern organizations.
